The Italian sports car maker plans to expand its Indian retail network to five cities, partnering with KUN Group in Chennai and Infinity Group in Ahmedabad.

Two new Ferrari dealerships are planned for Chennai and Ahmedabad by the end of 2026, expanding the luxury sports car maker’s presence in India.
The additions would take Ferrari’s Indian dealership network from three cities to five, joining its existing locations in New Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru.
Announced alongside the arrival of the Universo Ferrari exhibition in New Delhi, the expansion forms part of a broader effort to develop relationships with Indian customers and enthusiasts. It combines new retail locations with events, personalisation and collaboration with emerging design talent.
New Ferrari Dealerships: Cities, Partners and Timeline
Ferrari will work with two retail partners for the proposed openings.
| Planned location | Dealership partner | Announced opening target |
|---|---|---|
| Chennai, Tamil Nadu | KUN Group | By the end of 2026 |
| Ahmedabad, Gujarat | Infinity Group | By the end of 2026 |
Chennai would strengthen Ferrari’s presence in southern India, while Ahmedabad would add another location in the west.
The announced timeline is a target for the end of the year. The expansion coverage reviewed does not provide a specific opening day for either dealership.
Both cities have already featured in Ferrari’s customer activities. Official Select Cars dealer records describe a Ferrari 12Cilindri tour across Chennai, Ahmedabad and Bengaluru in May and June 2025.
That earlier activity suggests the new dealerships will build on existing engagement with enthusiasts and prospective customers in these markets.
Why Ferrari Is Increasing Its Focus on India
Ferrari’s leadership has identified scope to develop its business as India’s community of affluent customers grows.
Speaking to Business Today, Francesco Bianchi, president of Ferrari Far and Middle East, said the company had established a team focused on India after recognising the need for a more dedicated local approach.
The publication also reported, citing VAHAN data, that Ferrari had recorded 45 vehicle registrations in India by October 19, 2026, matching the reported total for the whole of 2025.
These figures provide a snapshot of registrations. They do not quantify Ferrari’s outstanding orders or future deliveries.
Executives also pointed to customer interest surrounding the India–EU trade agreement. Any benefit to buyers would depend on the applicable implementation measures and Ferrari’s pricing decisions; the dealership announcement does not itself establish a new price list.
A Larger Network With Controlled Growth
Ferrari’s expansion in India fits a business model built around limited availability and carefully managed customer relationships.
Its 2025 annual report describes a strategy of broadening its product offering and customer base while protecting the exclusivity and long-term value of the brand.
Bianchi reiterated that approach in the October media interaction, explaining that Ferrari intends to keep production below demand.
For customers, a wider network could make conversations with the brand more convenient. It would not automatically mean that every model becomes immediately available or that delivery waiting periods disappear.
The commercial task for the new partners will be to turn local interest into lasting customer relationships while working within Ferrari’s allocation system.
Why Personalisation Matters to the Dealership Experience
For Ferrari, the relationship with a customer can involve decisions about a car’s materials, finishes and individual character.
The company’s Tailor Made programme provides access to specialist design support and a broad selection of materials. Clients work with experts led by a personal designer to develop specifications that reflect their preferences while remaining consistent with Ferrari’s design standards.
This helps explain the value of physical customer contact. Discussing a personalised vehicle can involve repeated consultations and careful decisions, making an accessible local representative useful throughout the process.
From a business perspective, the potential value of a dealership extends beyond displaying vehicles. It can provide continuity between an initial enquiry, the configuration process and the ownership relationship that follows.
Universo Ferrari Brings the Brand to New Delhi
The retail announcement accompanies Ferrari’s first Universo Ferrari exhibition in India.
Inaugurated by chief executive Benedetto Vigna on October 17, 2026, the New Delhi event is open to the public until November 1, 2026.
The exhibition brings together the company’s road cars, racing heritage, design work and personalisation activities. Featured vehicles include the F80 and the 499P endurance racer, alongside displays exploring Ferrari’s history.
For visitors, the exhibition offers a wider introduction to the company’s identity. For Ferrari, it provides an opportunity to engage with enthusiasts who may have had limited direct contact with the brand.
Indian Design Students Contribute to Tailor Made India
Ferrari has also worked with students from the National Institute of Design on its Tailor Made India project.
The students explored the identities of ten Indian cities. Ferrari Design then translated their concepts into ten digital configurations: five based on the Ferrari 12Cilindri and five on the Ferrari Purosangue.
Chennai and Ahmedabad feature among the cities that inspired the designs.
These are digital design creations. The announcement does not establish a commercial production run for the configurations.
Around 1,000 students were also invited to participate in seminars and exchanges covering subjects including design, technology, product development and entrepreneurship.
Together, these initiatives give Ferrari a way to connect with Indian creative talent alongside its retail plans.
